In November 1984 Paul began his ministry with FBC Ponoka. He married Lois, in September 1985.
Lois retired in 2017 from her position as the Principal of Ponoka Elementary School. Their daughter, Sara was married in November 2017 and lives and works in the town of Ponoka as well.
Paul began his pastoral training by attending Briercrest Bible Institute where he received his
Bachelor of Religious Education. He went on to Edmonton Baptist Seminary and received his
Masters of Divinity degree. In 2007, Paul received a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Carey Theological College. He has also gone through the Canadian Arrow Leadership program
established by Layton Ford.
Paul would say that the primary gifts that the Lord has given him to use at First Baptist Ponoka are
the gifts of teaching and the gifts of leadership. He also has extensive training and skills in the area
of Prayer Ministry. Paul also works with the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada in the area of pastoral settlement.
